G’day all.
In preparation for the 50th Anniversary of the release of the Australian Ford Capri, I’ve established a Facebook page at:

https://www.facebook.com/groups/127351067962586/

It’s called appropriately, ‘Capriciation 2019’, and this will be at least one of the methods we will use for all things to do with the celebration of the 50th Anniversary in 2019. The chosen dates are Thursday, 25th April to Sunday, 28th April, 2019 and the location is yet to be finalised, but it will be held in southern NSW.

Now, it is a closed group, so you’ll have to request entry to the site and I will be continually monitoring this page for any requests.

Over to you.

PS. Please spread the word to fellow Australian & New Zealand Capri owners.

Keep on Capri'n

So only open to approved users then? Seems I don’t meet the criteria. Oh well.

Have you asked to join?
Have you been refused signup?
Terry will have a reason for it being a closed group ('tho I'm not aware of the reason)

I made it a closed group because we really only want people based here in Australia and New Zealand and those that are actually interested in attending this event with a Capri, if that's OK!

Have you been refused signup? yes

cosworthfreak you weren't refused sign up, as I never received a request from you, unless you're cosman! If you are cosman, then you still weren't refused sign up, I replied to you (cosman) with a couple of questions, that's all. Honestly, I would much rather people used their real names so that I know who I am actually dealing with, not much to ask and it makes my job so much easier.

Hi Terry,

Why do you have to have it as closed group?

Or is it just for the special few to attend.

I know of a couple of Capri owners who are not members of Capri clubs or Facebook pages and by limiting the input to a "special few" I am sure you are going to limit to number of people attending.

Hi Terry

Yes I’m Cos Man. I’m not a huge fan of using personal details online.

There must have been a mix up somewhere, as I didn’t receive any questions. From my end, one day I could find the page, the next day it didn’t come up in searches as if I was banned. I’ve jumped to conclusions, and I apologise.

Cheers
Jamie

No problem Jamie, you could have always PM'd me to clarify why I did what I did. No harm done.

See my answer above. There are many people on this site and on Facebook who live overseas and the Facebook page is to filter these people out. We're looking for potential attendees in Australia and possibly NZ and the Facebook page is just one of the ways of getting information out there to the right target audience! Another way is via the Capri/Small Ford Clubs around Australia and NZ as well, hence the highlighting of Capri Club members also.
