Are you planning t o replace the roof or fill the hole somehow?

i haven't made up my mind on that one yet. having looked at past posts on the forum re-skinning it looks the best. quite a challenge though! and a trip to the wrecker. what would be a rough estimate of cost for a roof?

what's the paint code on the VIN plates?

If its original black its one of only 4 black RS2000's (2 2dr, 2 4dr) made in Australia!

Might explain the dog tags.

re skin it buddy. unless ya can tig weld then it may be easier to just weld the hole up. using a mig will probably warp the roof alot.

actually just reskin it.

Great work!

That design looks familiar [:x)]

We found that rolling the car to work on a parallel surface at a sensible height was worth the hassle of making the jig. I still have some small spots on the floor to do where some aftermarket seats were fitted [:(!] but I can get to it from the inside easy enough.

Best of luck and keep the pics coming.
