Guys,
Its been a while coming but finally got the RS back home and took it for its first drive this morning and its pretty good no oil leaks or major dramas needs some fettling as it really takes off in first and second gear above about 3000rpm but beyond that its very flat so some playing around with the carb needs to be done. Spent yesterday changing the wheels over and putting the new electronic dizzy in it has to one of the few times that something that I have added has worked first go just got on the net and downloaded the wiring diagram for the Crane XR700 and connected it up accordingly the trigger wheel inside the dizzy had been put together without the shim so added one I had from another dizzy and started first pop, took a bit longer than that to get it idiling, but at least it goes !

Did you respray the engine bay as it looks a bit nicer than when i last saw it

nice clean ride there.. got specs on the motor? interested how much power a single dcoe get's, is it a 45??

Yeah resprayed the bay, specs on the motor;

2.1 Lt overbore
Double Valve springs
Custom ported head with anti-reversion treatment
Big Cam of unknown origin (had to take material out of the valve seat so the springs didn't bind)
Extractors
2 1/2" Exhaust
Lynx manifold w/single 45mm Weber
Cam Vernier
Crane XR700 electronic ignition
4 Speed w/quickshift
