Yeah the thermostat at the front does have issues, but it works in the raceline rail. The way I see it as long as there is a bit of flow through the thermostat it will be ok as the flow will carry the heat. Worst comes to the worst I'll have to use a cooler thermostat.

The temperature gauges are at the back right near the head, so I will get warning of any overheating.

Andrew as usual, great work. That thing will be a cracker when finished. Keep us informed on the progress.

Been a while since I've updated.. Starter in now in and the engine cranks. Throttle bodies linkages work and the fuel rail is 75% finished. Turned out to be a pain in the neck, the fuel rail will end up costing more than the throttle bodies did!! (They were $75). Heres a pic of the inlet manifold with no throttle bodies.

I made up a new frame to mount the fuel pumps and surge tank in the spare wheel well in the boot. Also new fuel lines. Haven't got a pic of it finished, painted and in the boot, will get one later.

Unfortunately the exhaust was worse than I thought. Once it cleared the bellhousing and the crossmember I had a look underneath and it only cleared the body by about 2mm. So I cut it [B)][B)] and welded extensions in. It now has a good amount of clearance to the body. I am very dissapointed in Ashley, I wouldn't recommend them.

I welded a bracket up for the coil and it is mounted and wired in. The wiring is all about 90% done.

Still waiting for my water pump. I'm having someone bring it over from the uk, they are coming Australia day. I need a pulley for it though.

Then just need to finish the alternator mount. Nearly there!!

Well shes been running (starting anyway ) for a few weeks.. As it turned out I bought the wrong water pump.. duh. So I sold it and bought the right one, which unfortunately meant I had to pay $50 post from the uk..

Had a new exhaust made up yesterday/today, 2.5" straight through and a hotdog, with flanges so I can take it off easy. It sounds brillient, especially with the trottle bodies sucking.

I now as of this morning have her idling and revving ok, just need a throttle cable and a few other bits and bobs.. Not long now I'm very excited to get this thing tuned and driving!!
