I decided i didnt want to wait untill the rubbers came from croatia so thought id put them in. Who knows with the post nowadays - im thinking months away.

I ended up swapping out the whole accelerator pedal to one a painted and drilled to make it all smoother install. In hindsight it would have been easier to just drill the one already in the car. lol

Ordered a nice K and N filter to suite the weber but thats still in transit - for the last 4 weeks.

Got a few days off to finish this little passion project up. Very happy with the outcome. Such a small part but sometimes the small things make it just right. Stoked the guy in Croatia was keen to see people enjoy the fruits of his labour by making the rubbers/molds

Made some steel backing plates and glued the rubber down, quick lick of black and then in they went.

Very happy and can now move on.

Just get road regular pads mate, they'll work just fine, Escort doesn't weigh much in the rear so no need to go all fancy lol.
I used to get the cheapest kmart pads I could find for my rear disk kit and they lasted for ever, same with the Volvo fronts !!

Thanks Paul - the seller said he didnt know what kit it was.

Thanks Marty - think ill just get some cheap ones to slap in and go from there.

Ive had to source the handbrake assembly from gumtree as thats the only thing it was missing, thats in the mail atm.

Unfortunately we have started some house renos so the car has been put in storage for a few months while the house gets ripped apart. Kinda miss it, having the option of going for a quick cruise whenever was nice.

I thort you was doing the reno yourself, tiling, painting, moving walls about, plumbing and moving plugs etc . Getting the tradies in takes all the fun out of it and the following years to finish... That reminds me, I need to get started on our house 1 day ...
