Hi Robbie, if you need to invent caliper adapters you can dummy them up from craft wood (I was going to was to say alloy but it could get tedious) or similar, once the shape and mountings are worked out from the template it can go to the machinist to make in alloy . I fitted Wilwood NDL to my mk1 van and luckily only needed a 7mm thick plate drilled and tapped .

Thanks marty, yeah i was thinking of using some MDF and my old 2l strut. Ive given them back to mike for the time being. First child due next week so thought i better concentrate on the new arrival and maybe keep some money in the pocket just in case, kids are expensive? more than cars? im about to learn

Found this little F1 gem recently, stoked

Unfortunately due to postage delays the radio/stereo is still waiting its DIN adapter before being posted and installed.

Well few months late but it arrived, out of all of it the wait was for a DIN kit stuck in transit.

Now to get it in.

Stereo is in! Happy with how this dash has come together with the reskinned top, updated spot light button and now stereo. Everything functions as it should to which is nice.

I set the colour to display as green although its almost impossible to read due to the old sticker blocking it. Green suits the clock lighting etc. It syncs up to my bluetooth and can now use hands free, nav from my phone, spotify etc.

Next big job inside is the carpet, its been cut poorly, doesnt fit well and needs redoing. From afar its ok but far from nice.

who did your dash top Robbie?
was it pricey?

I have thought about the fibreglass repo ones, but would probably prefer to have it reskinned, your looks great

Dashboard Dr in Melb. Was 450. The one i had reskinned was pretty bad and i thought ready for the bin, they did an awesome job. Gotta pay to play i guess.

thanks for the info.
Price is pretty fair, it looks a great job.

If I decide to keep the car, I'll do the same once its been painted.
Cheers

So it was a lovely day on sat i drove the car to work, on the way my fuel gauge stopped working, started again and now had decided to stop all together.

Ive checked connections and they seem all ok, im pretty hopeless with auto elec so any hint on where to start would be great. From my quick reading it may be the voltage regulator on the back of the cluster, although the temp gauge is working as per norm. Second guess would be the sender unit, wonder if i can get that rebuilt if needed.

Anyway have a random photo and ill keep people updated

Looking good as always...
Electrics aren't my thing but you should be able to test the tank sender by hooking it up to the multimeter, you might need someone inside the car to let you know. There are companies that can fix senders, problem I had was finding the gasket/ o-ring to refit it if its rooted. I ended up making one out of a sheet of gasket cork.
Cheers Drew
