I have two o-ring type springs about 50mm in diameter that I can't remember where they go. Can anyone tell me without me putting a photo up, if not ill take a pic of them tomorrow.
Cheers

Pinto's originally had a steel wire spring holding the thermostat in place, but they don't look like that.

The engine came with no inlet/carbs,exhaust,alternator, pretty much just Block, head, dizzy and all the internals. If that helps narrow it down

Are you sure they're not just a pair of used garter springs fallen out of some old oil seals roughly removed from the engine in the past?

That is exactly what they are without a doubt.

Ok I feel like a bit of a dumb arse but I'm real happy to finally know what they are it makes sense now. I'm kinda just the supervisor(and bank) on this rebuild its my 16yo and one of his mates doin it, so I'm gunna blame one of them for putting these things in the parts bin.
Thanks for the help guys
