A fair few V8s for sale at the moment. Unfortunately for us here in NSW there's none and very rarely is. We can't import from another state. If we do it must meet our new regulations (old now). I've looked into it and if I have imported a car interstate it needs re engineering and the engineer looks at today's rules. Maximum we can have here is 4.1 ltr in a Capri unless engineered before the rules changed and only if registered before the rules changed with the engineering done. It pisses me off on this when you can do it in the U.K. Of all places and every other country in the world.
The government must be concerned where good at engineering. Or worried the inspection process for safety is flawed.
I like to look at and do small runs in the Perana but a nice V8 for traveling and not being scared for originality woul be nice. Are their just not many Capris left in NSW can all you people in the other states start sending them back.
I have not seen a road going Capri just driving for about 6 years. I don't frequent race meets and Capri club NSW seems to hard to join.
When I drive my Capri everyone looks and half of them fall over they love it and all types of people comment. I can't stop at a servo for fuel without being accosted. Love every second in my V6 Auto. But the V8 mmm yummy.

One 1/2 decent car goes up for sale and the crud follows.

not related to ebay, but today at Ballarat swap meet I was give a lead on an elderly mechanic guy that is apparently looking to sell his collection of 4 Capris unfortunately due to ill health.
 
I am told by the person who checked them out  they are in a mix of conditions, at least one is a V6, and 1 is/was  a race car.
 
The information was passed on to me by a stranger (I had a sign asking for escort/capri parts) so I cannot personally vouch for the accuracy, but I have checked
I do not have the time/money/space or inclination to take on another car , let alone 4, so if anyone is legitimately interested, and in Melbourne, you can pm me for details and I will pass on.
 
It would be nice if they went to someone who was interested saving them, rather than just ebay income.
