And as we no both posts could be correct. Built three months before and stored then sold with that months date.
Really it makes a great discussion as months in a year could coincide. What’s to say a 71 car had this bonnet from factory. The bonnet also has an extra metal support right where the air cleaner is.

Yes mine is 10/70 and also has the original 2 piece bonnet, I'm not sure when they stopped using this bonnet.

Mine is 04/70 with bonnet vent, this one is 02/70 so most likely bonnet is not original.  44 bids to my 1, he's doing well.

And would question that. I mean from what I see the original bonnet lock seems such a strong mechanism. The later spring crappy piece of **** that scratches your paint and quite often unless adjusted perfectly takes two to open your bonnet is I’m sure the reason cars then needed bonnet pins. The spring doesn’t work as well so bonnet pins solves a $1.00 change in Fords system. Really the spring looks like crap too.

Well mines for sale too. And I’m asking $38000. White V6 Auto marching numbers in Diamond White with Dark Red interior. I need the money to pay a few bills and look at finishing two other cars. It’s not Factory correct but it’s better. It’s in my view the way they should have looked if ford charged another 100 or so originally. Things such as same snake skin on seats are used in the door cards it looks so much better. Only just made this decision last week as some may know. Pm if anyone here is interested.

It's a beautiful Capri and I'm sure it'll sell in now time at that price, it seems the Capri market is right at the brink of sky rocketing.

And can’t load photos. Try an old one. That works. Tell me what you think cause price wise try to build anything like it. I don’t know how to market it Gumtree and EBay it doesn’t deserve. Shannon’s or Carsales maybe. Although if you want a great Capri here is one of only 500 or so V6 Autos without a radio and still doesn’t have one today.

A shannons auction would certainly be interesting

Having said that they are a much nicer car to drive in traffic than the horrible side linkage manuals.

Yep wouldn't touch one as a young bloke but now that I'm older an auto is on my wish list once the others are done, much more cruisy to drive and I couldn't care less about 20HP at the top end.  What about aussiemusclecarsales website.  Don't know much about them but they have had some capris sell at good price.
