I started work on this orange v6 a while back - but hopefully work has eased and I can get some weekly work done on it.
sort of part way thru it and haven't kept up with the pics but heres one I took as it was doing the engine bay - replaced the slam panel, apron, battery tray, head light backing plates etc

and put it in primer

Love seeing pictures of these cars being repaired. Keep up with pics please. I reckon you should invest in a sand blaster though as cleaning up things back to bear metal is child's play. It's quick and easy especially with all the space you have Stefan.

Also where did you get battery tray from? And does the radiator support on EBay come with a battery tray. Keith

Hi Keith - no I do have a couple of battery trays - but have 5 v6's im doing up so I need them (having said that im not that fussy about originality -esp trays - u cant even see them!). Your right re the sand blaster but the wire wheel etc does work well and doesn't take too long and I enjoy doing it.
Those guards ive listed on ebay are no worse than the ones im doing up here - just time and effort and they look ace. Hopefully ill finish the pass side one in the next few days (ran out of MIG gas). Ive actually sent the bonnet off to be repaired - has been hit in the snout and fixed but not well. Gave them a 4 cyl bonnet to use for cuts. Ill finish the floor, put it on its feet (have the mags in getting new tyres), then fit the guards - will spot weld them on - and spray it
