G'day all, looking for an original radio to suit Mk1 Cortina. May consider just the facia and I can adapt something from there. Cash waiting, postage paid etc.

Eskie92 has a point there, as there are different types to fit the correct year of manufacture.

Cheers guys, found a couple of pics on google, need to google how to cut and paste them over the weekend The one I'm after is to suit the 65-66 six dail dash. Put the word out on mk1.com and fordcortina.com, no responses, this one could be hard to find...

Well folks after almost twelve months of gumtree ads and visiting auto jumbles with a sign stuck to my back this arrived today...

It's missing the knobs but I should be able to sort something out.
I've had luck with wanted ads before and normally work on the one in three ratio of serious sellers to numpties.
This one bought them all out though. I'd say it was more like one in twenty. Heaps of sms, 'yeah got one want $1000 for it' or 'got a sony xplod deck for sale would be heaps better'
A couple took the cake though, guy sms'd, called him right back, no answer, sms again, call back, no answer, angry sms 'do you want it or not, better call me!!!' This went on for a fortnight.
Then a guy from Melbourne sms's at midnight, would've been 3am there, seems startled when I call him right back, says he has one still in its box, can't send me a pic, has no camera, sms had a link attached clearly from an iphone, says if I want to look at it I'll have to fly to Melbourne, just hung up. Calls me back 'the line must have cut out' Yep and its about to do it again lol...
Anyway got that off my chest, laughing about it all now. Thanks to anyone who kept an eye out for me and don't be too put off by posting wanted ads on gumtree
