Hi Paul,
I m fitting an adaptor and VSS speed sensor ( Burtons ) to my type 9. Picked up the RS from my sparky this evening , he has wired up the instruments as per my pics, all I have to do is disconnect the original speedo cable from the box and attach the VSS.  Once done I will drive with a Tomtom to get a GPS reading so I can calibrate the speedo.  Will put up a couple of pics when I get them downloaded, so good to be able to read my instruments at night!  He also fitted up HID lights as well, makes a world of difference on dark backroads.  Len

Pic attached of my new instruments.  I was quite unprepared for the dazzling display the first time they were turned on when I collected the car from the sparky  I was expecting just a back lit white face with a neon pointer as per the first set of pics I put up.  Tried to fit the VSS to the gearbox last night but just not enough room to get in and get the circlip out of the old cable.  Luckily the President of our car club has a mechanical business so will be  much easier job when its up on a hoist!

No Probs, Deano- not connected- oil or temp. I have a Mk1 GT Cortina gauge pod fitted into the switch panel with aftermarket VDO gauges to monitor the vitals. I just have to fit a new fuel sender unit into the tank and I will have accurate fuel levels too!  Len

Hi Paul,
Sorry, took me a couple of days ferreting around to find the link, I had taken it out my Ebay contact list after i bought them.
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=252286087456.
Paste this one into the search bar and it will take you into the site, a few different variations on the ones I got but you can search the online store and see what takes your fancy.  They are a " no-name " brand but work fine, I was on a very tight budget at the time and bought as cheap as I could.  I bought a full set of VDO gauges off him as well and they work well.
Cheers,
Len

How's it all going Len?
If you do have issues with the smaller Aux gauges (fuel etc.) I can confirm that 3 x 52mm and 2 x 80mm gauges will fit into the OEM assembly with some work. Whilst I was at it I also added additional warning lamps.
