Hi, I am changing the brakes on my Mk1 Escort, I have Capri struts and rear brakes. Also would like to get rid of the large bracket and master cylinder out of the engine bay. I believe the twin cams had the cylinder under the dash, can a standard pedal box be changed, also has anyone and diagrams or photos of what I need to find or make?  Thanks Peter.

I used to have a Twink pedalbox but was Modded to a bias setup then it was again Modded to take hyd clutch. You can modify your original pedalbox to Twink by some cutting and plating, they only have one m / cyl to feed both front n back brakes ,if someone on here owns a twincam pedalbox they might be able to put pics up for you.

There was 2 on ebay but the complete one I had a bid on ended early. I would like to keep the cable clutch but have a standard twin cam master cylinder. If I could get some details on how to modify a standard pedal box I would go that way. 

If you search for Ford Rally Manual on Google there's a pdf to download of the escort prep bible (i payed $25 for my book back in the early 90s), page 84 shows how to build bias box but the box measurements are the same for single cyl setup. This should help you get started.

Found the download, you need the twin cam pedal box to start with. If I had a diagram and photos of a original I could build one.

have asked this previously but keen for any more input i can get. for all those who have removed the standard mk2 brake tower assembly and gone to a pedal box assembly, how did you go with getting engineering certificate ie roadworthy? in the middle of a rebuild. want to change the standard setup and seem to be bashing my head against the 'legal' options i have...
