The rx7 caliper are fixed calipers and not sliders. Is this true. I have a TE that has a 4L turbo in it and I'm on the hunt for some knowledge on big brakes and a decent diff that will handle the hp. Appreciate any help available. Thanks

TE slightly different from escort strut wise I think? I've never worked on one myself, but the same principle is there.
Have a feeling the diffs are wider as well which is a plus so you might be able to use early hilux or commodore diffs even without chopping them down (need to check this). I thought they were about 1500mm?

Brakes, theres a few options..
As above the hoppers kit it is a decent proven kit. But also a few of us have done the RX7 option ourselves as well. There's a few threads with finer details etc.

Either way plenty of people willing to help on here.

Just an update I managed to pick up a Hi-spec 260mm kit locally which I'm happy about. Now I'm thinking I may need to go Capri struts to make it all work without too much mucking around.

Anyone interested in a pair of freshly powder coated adjustable platform 2.0L struts?

I need an extra 10mm of track each side which I can get using the alloy hubs which don't fit onto the 2.0L struts without sleaving the axle to accept the larger outer bearings. Also the Hispec brakes bolt up using this combo without modification. And finally when fitting vented rotors to the 2.0L strut the tie rod end is extremely close to the rotor which I don't like. The Capri strut has the bolt on arm and provides more clearance. Just easier and as I'm having the car engineered i need to make sure I'm doing things right and not over complicating the way I'm going about some of the changes.

Plus picked up a near new set of Gaz Golds for a price I couldn't refuse so I'm underway again.

My upgrade... Ford 5 stud conversion BA rotors and Hopper stopper hubs with WRX calipers.
