Hold everything! ! Lol. So, Radtec take 2. The kit had to be moved forwards and upwards. Notice the new top screw fixings. And trimming at the base of grille opening. It still leaves two clips for mouning the grille so all good. Also the bottom radiator section needed notching each side to allow radiator base to come forwards. In this position it looks to be same as stock rad to motor spacing 👍👍👍

Bonnet pins fitted today. The catch had to go as it fouled on the top of the intercooler.

And gave it a wash a few days ago :D

What are the odds? Aussie 1.6L escort radiator shroud literally pops into place on the Radtec radiator. No need to run the thermo fans that came with the radtec kit so I will pinch the fan fitting kit to put this shroud on

The engine bay was a real mess so after welding in clutch cable tube and bulkhead strengthening gussets I got onto sanding and priming the engine bay and heater plenum. The primer and 2K paint was bought from a private & local DIY auto paint store. It's the first time I've used industrial grade paints and I'm well impressed with the result. The motor is almost ready, I can't wait to see how good it looks in there. Boot floor and GRP4 tank platform has also been painted.
