You'd want a pretty serious spec'd kent engine to flow enough to require twin 45mm's. Twin 40's would better suit I would have thought..

Ok thanks , it's all standard at the moment with some extractors on the way , and I'm also looking at getting the cam ground , with this done what would be options for side draft carbs ??

The standard downdraught will handle mild mods with a bit of tweeking, other wise a single 40 with the right size tubes and jets should do it. Lynx and Redline manifolds are available for that combo.

Find a 1600 2 barrel down draft intake manifold (GT type)and fit a Cortina or escort pinto weber carb , it would work on a stock to quite lumpy motors. Once your bored with the pinto carb swap it out for a 38/38dgas , direct swap with some jetting etc and more fun !

Go with the 40 dcoe, I recently fitted 45 webers to my 1600 kent which has had mild work done and it became sluggish and had heaps of lag down low

Not to hijack op thread but any recommendations on where to get twin weber 40 dcoe and manifold? The only sets i found are around $2k
