What bushes did you use for your engine mounts?

Hey troppo, the ones that came with the kit!
I think they are rear spring front eye bushes but Im not sure. Will measure up and report back.

12 days since an update...
spent a whole day trimming the diamond brackets to suit the diff housing. there is a 2.5mm step in the housing where the bracket needs to be so 80mm hole on one side 75mm on the other. but got it welded in today after stripping all the old brackets and paint of the housing.

then turned my attention to the front strut tubes.
holes enlarged to suit the large diameter tube

CDS tube and 10mm end cap ready for welding

all welded together with the tube set an extra 10mm lower in the knuckle

finished pair

need new smaller diameter bump stoops as they dont fit within the springs smaller diameter.
car can be put on its wheels if I wanted!. woohoo.
more body welding to do tomorrow. cage feet and guard rails to go before the sandblasting trip.

me neither
Not much done today.
Sandblasted the struts, steering arms and diff housing and got some paint on them so the build can continue

then spent a few hours cleaning up the mess...

to stuffed up to grind, hammer and make a racket so I did some soft stuff for a change.
had intended on modifying the original 6 dial dash fascia but Geoff Wade came through with the goods and here we are.

I had previously ordered some auto-meter mounting cups and they make the whole lot easy and secure rather than those dodgy metal 'U' brackets like the tacho has

I  have to add some lights for ignition, oil pressure and probably some others so will final trim, fill and paint later...during the paint phase

Great work with those struts, they look very heavy duty and professional.
Your fab work looks really good, something for me to look up to in the future

Keep those updates coming!

Cheers,
Ryan
