forum didnt remember me so I had to re-apply
small progress on the escort since we returned from the UK in 2019.

Coil on plug conversion with removal of Distributor and inclusion of Cam sensor

New collapsible steering column centered on the driver and Motec dash to accompany the M130 ECU
Floor mounted pedal box install started to make room for the steering column

Bosch Drive by Wire throttle

And rewire from scratch started including chassis and of course engine

dont you hate it when a forum forgets you and moves on.

Looks like you are about a week or so from firing up JP, a bit of soldering to do  and fill the tanks?

Cool looking Escort you have there, looks like a lot of work has gone into it.
Did you purchase a universal loom for the wiring or an escort specific one?

Both looms are universal. the M130 has a 60 wire loom which I think about 10 aren't being used and a ezywire 12 circuit for the body which Ive decided to only use the labelled wire from as I wanted a better Fuse relay solution, hence the Bussman fuse/relay boxes on Mrs Roboto!

I wish. taken me 6 months to learn electrical engineering and a coding degree to just begin to understand the Motec. I know its probably a better ECU system but Perhaps I should have gone Haltech. In another car it was so much easier to wire up for the electrical illiterate car builder.
and I'm making my own fuel and brake line clamps so progress is slow.
Current task is finding a location for the oil cooler, Remote filter and oil lines, then Probably a new fuel rail to suit the 1600CC injectors and FPR...as the fuel rail adaptor I bought doesn't fit! Bloody Internet experts!

Interesting feedback on the motec V haltec as many speak volumes about the motec stuff being so much more ahead.

Thinking of going ME221 for when I do my ute . Haltec seems way pricey for what it is..
Hope it's not far from cranking 👍

I think the Motec is the better unit, Haltech isnt far behind in terms of engine management...but the motec is I feel professional level vs the Haltech which is aimed at the hobbiest. I have had to/or just did replace most OEM sensors to suit the motec as I would have with the haltech.
From my previous experience a haltech ecu, the wiring is less configurable such they can offer a wiring diagram which fitted my application,  whereas I am starting from scratch with the motec wiring and configuration. I cant afford or justify sending it somewhere for a 3-5K loom on top of the 6K ecu and dash!
