Anything is possible, how deep are your pockets haha

The CA18DET is allowed under the new laws, of course brakes and necessary ancillaries need to be upgraded,

Welded roll cages are out and bolt in half cages with bends are not allowed

Im not up to speed on that engine in terms of mounting, but I hit the firewall and I would be inclined to say you would trim the existing trans tunnel and weld pieces to complete the tunnel

Gearbox Crossmember brackets can still be utilized but I lugged it between the chassis rails, however as the box is quite long, and the lateral brace will need to be cut from under the floor for the shifter to come through

You will pick up on allot of these things, but don't fret there are solutions for everything, my advice, check and double check and don't be afraid to give it ago

Wow 12 months since an update of any,

So here is what the rear originally looks like, simple and proven of course,

But thats not how I roll, opted for a 6 link, which enables full adjustment for street, track and circuit work

Top arms to be tied in the back of the cage, box links on the floor, coilovers and brembo brakes on the rear should do the trick

Bit more being done, this time the top arms being done and now all linked up and quite rigid,

Tested tyre width and seems 255 wide tyres fit, and could go wider when the leaf's are dropped out

Next is to fit these bad boys to pull her up

Some very nice fab work and brackets.
Are you doing all the machine as well as fab work?

Hey Shaun,

As having the car street registered, this was a bit beyond my scope and having the work done by a friend, ill do everything i can, but want to make sure it will be safe and of course reliable,

Cant take the credit this time round, but this/that man has skills

So rear end is mostly complete, just to fit the Gaz coilovers all round to position the ride height for the wheel offset, and Brembo's are on

Enough looking at the rear end, up front the SR20 has been remounted on the Escort rack and pinion,

Escort crossmember has been lowered 20mm

Gearbox crossmember redesigned also, same idea
