Yes thats looking good I can just see this color enhancing the club lineup.
At the all ford day this year it was noticed that there are more of the pastel colors turning up, not only on the english fords but falcons and mustangs too, it provides variety and is reminisent of the sixties. Yours pops too much to be called a pastel but the variety is there and its a seventies thing anyway.
Those two tabs sticking out on the lower bulkhead, they should be bent up into position and touched up again or you will have cracked paint. They are not usualy on the v6 but are for the 4 cyl. brake lines, considering the build date ford built the last cars with whatever they had left.
If the painter hasnt already done it make sure the bonnet hinges  are held up in the open position and given a lick of paint.                            Regards....Ron.

Thanks for the tips Ron. I'll let the painter know.

Stripes is the last difficult decision.

I know they weren't black as I've got a photo from the early 80's which shows that they were a light colour like gold or silver. The photo doesn't make it clear though. I have a strong suspicion that the stripes were gold. I am trying to get in contact with the previous owner to confirm.

More progress to report. The painter didn't get to paint the car at the end of last week. Photos attached from yesterday of the painted shell. The bonnet/sunroof and doors will be painted today. The blackouts won't be painted till the weekend. It's all coming together now.

Well I finally got the painted car back home today. I had a beer with my old man to celebrate the long journey to get to this point. The car looks at home back in my shed. I have all the panels with the black outs complete as you can see. I also got the 14 inch V4 Simmons centres painted in Simmons Gold. I need to get them re fitted to the one piece outers by Wheels Revolution some time soon.
The wiring harness is still the key challenge. I've been offered some help by a forum member which is great. Just need to finish laying out all the wires for the under dash section of the harness before finalising the wiring design. Then its time to terminate, tape up and install.
I need a heavy duty clutch to go behind the triples engine. I've asked the question in the general discussion area so any leads would be appreciated.
I'll keep photos of the fit out process coming.
