Where did you get your lid seal?  my one is made for cars without a vinyl roof and is too thick, your looks a much better profile

I bought my seal from the UK (pretty sure it was from Capri Club). When the seal was first fitted it bulged out unevenly because it was too fat. We slit the felt and glued it with contact under the rubber to reduce the profile/thickness which improved the fit considerably.

After balancing things up on the home front over the Christmas/new year period (holidays/house projects etc) I've gotten back into the project.
Wiring has been my big headache. I decided way back to build my own wiring harness from scratch (the one with the car was cut up and I couldn't find a replacement). Let's just say this process has delivered highs and lows on this project. The high was when the harness was plugged in and the headlights, indicators, taillights, thermo fans etc all worked. The low was when I plugged in the interior light circuit and the short I had built into the wiring fried the brown power wire throughout the new under dash loom. Thankfully we pulled the positive terminal in time and there wasn't enough heat to melt the rest of the harness.  A big thanks to Schlutes for helping me wort out the wiring on the weekend.
As you can see from the photo's the exterior assembly is virtually complete. Re-chromed bumpers are on and head and driving lights in. On the interior front the carpets done, rear parcel shelf in as well as rear door cards and seats. New seats are currently on order as is the electronic ignition upgrade to the tacho. 
Next step is to install the dash cluster (I'll have a big smile when all those dash wires plug in and can't be seen dangling like spaghetti).
On road target is the All Ford Day in July in QLD. Should be achievable at this stage.

Looking good.

Looking at your driving lights, do you have the plastic spacers that fit between the brackets and the slam panel? If not, I have a set here. Wouldn't want the bracket to damage that beautiful paint job. ;)

Thanks Jamie. I've got the plastic spacers (although it's hard to see they're fitted). Haven't had driving lights before so the look is still growing on me!

Anthony it will be great to see this car in the flesh at the all ford day in july.
Back  in the  day a set of driving lights were just the thing. Halogen globes were new technology  and these together with halogen hella H4 in the main lights  gave enough lighting to see very well on those late night drives in the western district of Victoria. Cruising at the big one oh oh was easily possible. Of  course young eyes  helped a  lot too.Today high beams are somewhat irrelevant as there is too much traffic coming the other way.

Gents, I'd appreciate some seat belt advice. After looking at and fitting what I think are my original seatbelts (front and rear) I am struggling to work out if there are left and right belts (particularly for the front belts). The buckle sections of belt appear the same (both rears are the same as each other and a little longer than the fronts) and the fronts the same as each other. Appreciate any advice.

Parts book doesn't indicate that left or right has their own number, just '2 of...' for front belts. Same for rear.

I've added a photo to further explain. You can see from the two front belts that the tongue is on opposite sides on the two belts yet the adjusters and mounting points are the same and that one belt is longer than the other. I would have thought this would indicate L & R but when I've test fitted them the shorter belt seems to fit better from a twist perspective on both L & R sides of the car.
