88mm stroke crank creates head aches with clearance in the bottom of the bores, side of the block, inside of the sump and the camshaft.
I have been doing a kit for years with a 84mm stroke narrow journal, 5.330" rods for for twin cam/pre-xflow and 5.230" for xflow, CP pistons, ACL race series bearing and for a lot less.
That would owe you approx $4800 landed, I sell it in Sydney for $3600. Crank and rods from the same supplier, same bearings but I use better pistons.
84mm still require cam to be notched, which I can do on your own cam or supply a new cam done. The block will usually require a small amount of grinding for clearance but nothing the amount for 88mm.
