Cheers Jonny .Yeah so over the engine bay . Just have to pull a golf ball size dent out above the comp plate...Also need to squirt some sixaflex around my battery tray..

Going to use PPG high fill and all the products rite thru hoping to elimate paint problems. Its so expensive I hope it will be worth it 4ltr + 500ml hardener was $214.00

I got the bonnett done in Adelaide when i lived there and i think it was $150 it wasn't much more than that.
My doors came off easy because they had been off b4. But I think the trick is to take the weight of the door ( ie jack block of wood) with a 4" b/h nail just tapped the pin out. Heaps crc to lubricate it.

Clear over white is $64 dollar question... I really like the look of it and would definetly give it a 21st century twist to it.
The guy from ppg say you dont have to do it straight away , so depending on the money situation ..

I just bought a set of new adjustable konis and a full set of super pro poly bushes thru out. Was trying to keep to a colour theme as I have a red engine , sway bars and springs but the blue will go with strut tops and braided lines.
Cheers

Looks great HBGT & PPG is expensive but is a good product we used Protec 706, with the doors we unbolted them with the hinges in place, easy to do as long as there are 2 of you in the shed.

Update..Finished my last bit of welding today..I have had my bodywork coach (aka-Schlutes) give me the thumbs up .Car is not too far way now from running some high fill over the body . I'm going to get my doors soda blasted back to bare to save some time and energy. Also need to get my diff exchanged (john) and rebuilt so I can roll it.
I have some concerns about the high torque starter fowling on the extractors which I might have to investigate. Saying that my starter looks like it has came from Burtons which I am hoping it is different to the rodshop ones.I need to sort b4 I get the extractors ceramic coated.
All good Id thought Id better post something to let you guys know Im still on track with it.
cheers

Update.... Getting nit picky now .. Still not happy with passengers side rear after I put a straight edge on some sections. So more work needed there. Off the rotiserrie today and on stands . Have to repair some of the front from that now but getting close..

happy with the drivers side .

This section is being a pain in the butt.[:(!]
An easy fix would be to put some fake vents on . But I dont what to get into to taking short cuts now .. So more fill it is.Its a bees di#k out , I could get away with it with high fill ... But we keep chipping away lol..

Well thats it for now..

Update.. As anyone who has done a full resto knows TWO STEPS FORWARD AND ONE BACK.. Discovered a pin head of rust coming thru where previous owner bronzed welded a patch... Let me say NOT HAPPY JAN!!
Anyway I have a nice big hole where I attacked it with die grinder. I think I might buy a repair section and cut a large section out. It appeared to develop rust from between body deadner and second inner skin.. I rust convert any suspect section after I cut them out..
So I couldnt find anyone close to me to strip the doors so I'm doing them with LOVE.. Passenger side stripped and finished .

Front is pretty close I might wait now till I high build car.

Rear of car is still work in progress..Close but not 100%

I have started to get all my mechanicals sorted out. I have changed the studs to longer metric ones.
Lots of new parts arriving as they become available.
Just waiting for the humidity to die down so I can spray some high build around ..
Slowly but surely...
beer o'clock.
