Boot and front apron bare metal stripped and etched.

Spent another enjoyable day in the shed.
Stripped top of boot and etched and filled.
Primed and painted door tops. Also took my calipers , struts etc to have brake lines and tee pieces made up.

Good work Matt. Meanwhile Im still waiting for the council to give me a permit for the new shed. Red tape seems to be overwhelming in this shire. Just thirty years ago the guy behind the counter at the shire office (who was also the building inspector) would rubber stamp my one page plan on the spot and then tell me to nick off and get busy on it. Those were the days.
Anyway I just bought a brand new set of original driving lights for a very reasonable price. Spending on trinkets for the car is amusing me at the moment.

That would be frustating the hell out of you.. I dont get a lot of time in the shed due to a newborn with colic , but I have to make the most of the time when I do.
Ron we will have to catch up and do make up some rear cards soon. I will give you a ring when Im free Ie babysitter is around.

Matt speaking of door cards I got onto another firm that does very high quality. They can supply mk1 capri without needing the metal tops or the rear card for refurbishment. Supply is immediate. Of course as you are aware these are not cheap but if two orders are sent together there is good saving in postage.

ok.. Do they have a website? Do they have the cp strip thru it? Not that Im ready to do them yet but I need to do the budget for them.[8~2]

Update.. Ok Im loving the smell of filler at the moment front apron 80% filled , boot 100%.
Calipers painted ferrari red ,all the brake lines now done.Steering box stripped and painted..

Aldridge trimming UK. does mk1 pre facelift door cards and rear cards without needing your old backing or metal tops.High quality and with chrome inserts. The pattern on the vinyl is a bit different to our original lizard skin finish. I prefer the uk pattern anyway. Check out the picture on their website.
