Guys, Just had my exhaust manifold ceramic coated by Competition Coatings Queensland at Archerfield. Done a real good job and even organised the courier pickup and return.

I probably would have Danny but they came out on a pallet by sea from my brother which kept the cost down. I put Geoff onto these guys and he got these headers as well to supply with his Duratecs.

Does anyone know how this compares with wrapping the manifold in heat tape? Or is it more for looks?

heat tape has its place. but this coating is much better in my opinion as it has a few benefits other then looking good. if you have a look on the jet hot website they explain abit on the effects this coating has on your actually exhaust system etc. keep in mind some/alot of this is minimal on a street car and most likely irrelavant sales pitch. but if you have spent all this cash on your engine why not go 1 step further? just my 2 cents.
