Just a few photo's to share with you all.
I have both my BC 4 door Ghia at home finally.
I also have my 2 litre zetec finally at home after 6 years of being at the engine builders.
I think that the only thing that remains standard are the water pump and the camshaft bearing caps.
I'll keep you posted on the progress. At some stage I'll list the parts, but there are so many it would take a while to type them in and remember what I have .

My trusty old girl. This was my very first car, who will soon receive a heart transplant.

The motor and car together. Just the motor is in the wrong place.

Vacant space soon to be filled with zetec turbo goodness.

Here you can see a good shot of the EFI hardware 45 quad throttle bodies

You can see in this photo the worldcup xmember and engine ready to be bolted into the car.

Here we have the Raceline water rail and the other side of the motor.

Very nice recipe for fun. Hope to hear more as it progresses.

The old 'can't part with my first car' trick I know the feeling.

I hope to have similar power to Phil.
But I'll have to wait and see, One thing I have learen't from all this is never tell an engine builder to take there time. Mind you it gave me a chance to pay for all the parts over a period of time, which made it a little easier to do.

Nice one Fehlbie !

I have a mk2 ghia in the same colours as my daily driver and I've always dreamt of doing some mad mods to her (its not going to happen)

But it will be a damn cool car once complete !

I have plans to put a venetian in the back window and some white walls on her too.
I am going the sleeper look. I am thinking of putting on a 1 inch exhaust tip out the back and a 3 inch exit pipe ou the side next to the back wheel. I am also using a recirculating BOV to not give the game away.

Fantastic project fehlbie, cant wait to see it progress. Im really interested in how the zetec holds up to forced induction. Can you mention any issues that your aware of when doing a turbo zetec? Are their any specefic weak points that youve had to overcome, sorry if its been covered before. [:I]

looking forward to more pics/specs

The three week points that had to be rectified with the zetec is the conrods, pistons and oil cooling.
The rods are not suited to forced induction as they arn't very strong.
The pistons are cast alloy and are not very stron either.
And I spoke to a gentleman last year who worked on the origanal development of the Focus WRC cars and I told him what I was doing and he advised me to pay special attention to the oil cooling when turboing a zetec motor.
The motor is a silver top from a HA mondeo, which now has Eagle H beam rods. It has also been fitted with Arias pistons. Both of these are available off the shelf nowdays. Of note is the fact that the rods and pistons are to suite a black top zetec. They fit into the silver top easily but have longer rods and a shorter piston height. They share the same crankshaft.
