The boot lock is one of those 'little things'. The lock is fitted, but the cylinder not. I think the boot has different keys to the door/ignition so I just use a finger to open it.

PJ them weeds are the bane of my life. Worse than Mk2 Escort drivers...

Jet, I bought the hood lining off a seller on ebay - cant remember the name but its not the 'problem' trim seller thats been posted about here.

Its actually a Falcon lining, but I am assured that is correct for an early '72. Couple of comments the installer made:

* It was cut too short at the rear and he had to modify it to fit. Took a bit of stretching to do it.
* The front sides were cut wrong, and they bow down too much (The sunvisors don't sit flush against the roof now)
* The distances between the bows was just a tad out, and it made a lot of hassles for him.

After paying $190 to get it cut and shipped, then the intaller $200 to fit, turns out he cuts and fits them on site for $350[8~2]

But he's only in Sydney so no good for you

Looking excellent smcka. She's a beaut. Have you got the rocking 1700 engine in there yet? Have I got it right that the unit at the SFCC day was just a temporary one?

If you do go with some mexico stripes I reckon you'd also have to stick some twin cam front guards on it too. Just my 2c worth Looks awesome as it is.

Mexico stripes. Hhhhmm My car when I was 17 and pimply had big black Mexico style stripes down it. Not knowing what a Mexico was at such an age of knowledge, I absolutely hated them. With passion.

So although I do agree it would look good with white stripes, not while my ass points down sorry.

The lump in there is a 1600GT out of a Capri. It's in there just to get it going whilst the 'good' engine is built. I just clean ran out of time to have it all done as I wanted and the lump was one of the main things that it needed. That motor in it now has been under a bench for 18 months and arced up pretty easy once it was in. Go the mighty crossflow...
