Stephen I hope you decided to put twin cam/Mexico flares on the front, especially with those new wheels. Love the colour.

After much thought, I've gone without Twin Cam guard lips. Reason is I want it to look original and be original; This is such a nice car that I want to leave it as it would be in the '70's when some young hoon would have tricked it up.
Plenty of folks have told me I'm mad, but we'll see how we go with it.

Them darn weeds; 3 hours in the stinking hot sun and theres still half a yard!!

I was a young hoon in the 70's so I speak from experience.

Me too not so much a hoon but around in the late 70,s early 80,s i had a black mk1 escort RS2000 when i was a young fella and still had it up until i emigrated to OZ in december 1999.Had it for almost 20 years. most of the time it was parked up in the garage.got some photos somewhere will see if i can post them up somehow. I have to say that i am biased towards the UK way of modifying the MK1 Escorts love the RS 4 spokes and the minilite wheels if i ever get one as a project i want it to look like this. I have had a different colour stripe photoshopped on to it. The original stripe colour is blue.





But at the moment i have some bling to do on this.




MY CURRENT RIDE.
firstly a set of these 8.5 X 19 speedy cross 5 wheels. The choice of wheels here in OZ with 4 X 108 is not good.But these come as blanks and can be custom drilled at no cost (i hope)


i would love to get some wheels from the UK but at the moment the cost of postage is crippling, i will wait till i am next there and get a load of stuff shipped over in a shared container.

I too was a young hoon in the, uum, '80's. Still wonder how I got out alive with some of the fool things we used to do.

yes the wheels are 19 inch OZ leggeras. sadly no longer availible brand new. [8~2] so its second hand for these.
