This has been scrutinized ten fold. In South Africa before it came here and bought from a reputable Capri importer. Then lots of study and forum work one day stumbled on this. Just someone saying this is your Capri and your posts when it was here. Finally I had to get it passed through NSW RMS.
That took 3 months and not only blue slips after it’s club rego in Melbourne but full inspection from them. Took a month for them to Ok it and went for rego and they knocked it back.
Seemed that a trailer in Australia was registered with the same chassis number. So I was told I would need a new number and new stamp under the bonnet. Let’s just say it was registered that day and the lady behind the counter doesn’t spend that long with one customer very often.
It’s got its tags mods and stamps. It is a 4cyl shell showing how strong the car really is.
