can i use altenator of the 1300 on the 2ltr??

hey mate, you say ur mechanical pump isnt working... the front of your car isnt jacked up is it?

my fuel pump wouldn't work because the front of my esky was jacked up.. lowered it and worked fine..still using that pump actually.

Hi Wade,
you can use the 1600 alt, by taking out the 3 long mounting screws and twisting the front part around 1/3turn, this will alter the mount to suit 2.0. Be careful not to disturb the back part tho or it'll wreck the alt. doing this works mainly on the Lucas 'Birdcage' type best and some Bosch units, try it on a spare first

no need to change xmember. just engine mounts?

yep, i changed from 1600 manual to two litre, i even used the 1600 engine mounts as the 2ltr was from a corty. just swapped alternator wires and fuel line to other side. oh and throttle cable and exhaust of course.

stripped 2ltr motor which i just bought of marty all ready to be re assembled when i have some more $$ one of the pistons is fooked tho
