Hey guys,

Yea not alots been happening. Ive been saving for a bigger motorbike, but ive got a few other things along the way.

Since we last spoke i put some xr6/8 cloth seats in, big effort but well worth it. (some quick photos)

So very comfy times now ^_^

Um i bought a set of those ebay big brakes, ive also picked up a borg warner 3.45 lsd which im saving to get cut down. And some 16x9 (i think) with 225's to go on after the diffs cut down

Zetec, yea i tried to sell bur couldnt get what i wanted for it, was going to go sr20. Now im planning on buying (after the wheels etc. are fitted) a set of ashley headers from the UK and a Megasquirt for USA. Then i only need... fuel system, cooling system, hoses/fitting for bias box, and time... sigh,

if anyone sees anyone selling a zetec intake set up please let me know.

Cheers, Mark.

Those XR chairs look ultra comfy!! very similar to my seats, tho mine are Cordia GSR units with XR suede and grey/orange inner, front and rears cost $1500 to re-trim..gasp!
Headers were cheaper from West Wales Rally Spares at about $400au landed..

good progress so far mate, love the arches. what kind of power output are you expecting from a N/A zetec? is there a factory turbo option? i never really researched the z.
thanks mate and stay motorvated!

thanks mate, im hoping for somewhere near 150hp, then build form their.

As far as i know the 2L zetec only came from factory with a turbo in the Focus RS witch they called the zetec-R with 212BHP

You can get alot of turbo parts for the zetec pretty cheaply (depending on exchange rate) from america. But no intake manifolds that ive found yet.

Cheers Mark

ok, and for legality sakes is it not bad to get engineered? (if your taking that step) did you mod the tunnel to make the fit easier or she no fit without the surgery?
cheers

I don't think those seats will not pass ADR/Engineer approval for a 2 door with rear seat. You will have to remove rear seat and belts and then the car will be passed as a two seater.

Hi, are you refering to Mark or me on this ?
If about Marks seats, well maybe true if they dont tilt forwards. Here's a question..do the utes have tilt forward seats?
My car has no belts for the rear seat as the Capri fuel tank bulge destroyed the mounts.....no great loss, i intend it as a two seater anyway!!

Shea: If you go for something like a t9 or a std. 4 speed, it will be alot easier to fit. Im using the t5 which is about twice the size of the std. 4 speed, we trail fitted it with a tunnel modified for a celica box but it fouled in way to many places, so we jsut though it easier to replace.

These seats are outta of a ute so they tilt forward. Although im still sure they would need a engineers cert. because the mounts were changed.
We made them pretty safe though, welded a plate to strengthen where they bolt to the floor, high tensile bolts and sheet loads of welding.
I'm much happier with these than my old seats, they were F'd although the anoying thing is they would pass RWC and the new ones wouldn't.

Cheers blokes
