Lastly, for some strange reason the mondeo starter motor bolts up to the cossy belhousing... and looks like its the right alignment just with the auto starter motor it doesnt through far enough to engage. anyone out there know if manual one will engage?... worth a shot

This is my third escort, but first that ive properly driven.
first was a mk1 4dr, sold found something better
2nd brown mk1 4 door, good paint, poo pooe everything else, thats the shell in pictures, that was in an incident (not me)

Then i got this when i was about 17 and a half, spent 7 months or so fixing it up to road worthy std. (ala photos).



As for progress.... haven't done anything new, had exams and stuff latley. And party because the dollar went to poo poo so i haven't got an ecu yet. so basically need:
- Exhuast
- Intake
- Ecu setup and installation
- Radiator (probably going a VW one)
- Fuel system... so nothin much left....[88]

The manifolds i want to make myself, but i need to find a good tig welder (can anyone reckomend a good hobist one?) first, so thats kinda holding me up.

I've also got a new daily driver, kawasaki zx250, which has halfed my fuel bill an has taken the ergency out of getting the motor in.

Thanks for the find words

No major updates, been working while theres work to be had, so now i got the money to finish off the zetec.

Got a welder, just a small TIG inverter, should be enough for what i need it for, plus if i went bigger we would need a bigger generator.

got quite a few parts on there way, still looking for an appropriate radiator, can anyone recommend one?? i dont mind if a little modification is required.

Anyway here a few picys of mounting, made the tunnel outta 1.8mm steel... WHATA CHORE, used the oxy torch to heat it up, kept running outta gas, got one beng done, ran outta gas, used a gas cylinder torch, wasn't hot enough... ANYWAY, finnaly got it done,











Another major thing im looking for, Anyone have a spare manual mondeo starter motor, i just want to try if it works, then ill find one of my own.

Gee ! there are lotsa pics mate, i went and made a cuppa half way thru ! nice work too. i'm nearly finished with my Zetec mk1 project, am trying to track down a ignition only computer...as i using Yammy R1 carbs and is also up to making a m/fold to suit, if you can give me the carb size and spacings i can possibly make 1 up, steel or ally? cheers Mart
