Ah the chocco brown vinyl seats - happy memories of jumping into the car on a sunny day wearing shorts and getting fried

Love the estates. Always wanted to get one, lower it and get "Low Estate" numberplates....

A good step is 32/36 Weber on a GT manifold and extractors. Lots of power gain for not many $

If we had estates in Australia I probably would have chased down one of them rather than the 2 door I eventually found.

I am with you teds, get some superlites and lower it.

As for the front speaker location, check this thread out:

I would like to try something like the above at some stage.

Cheers.

yer seen that post sounds like a gud idea 2 small problems estates have mk1 doors so the pods would sit up higher and foul on the window winder unless i made the pod curve down so it was on the netal at the bottom of the door

well if you ever plan to sell the rims give me a pm...

and what is the motor right now? a 1.3?

put about $500 into a 1600 and it can be a load of fun

speaking of which i have a good cond 1600 for sale... not urgent

maybe there is a way of fitting spacers and such to get some speakers in the front kickpanels?

cheers
