Well,I supose Ive been in denial all these years, thinking this car had been finished(not a project) and has been in various forms but its back in peices again so I may as well make a thread about it.And go on the record to say yes it is a project,Im hoping to have it finished and road regoed this (08) july.......let's see hey.
I will take some more photos today,I smashed the rear quater window yesterday trying to fit new rubbers.,Currently fitting new carpets, the scheels are getting retrimmed now due in 2 weeks,Have decided on wheels(Performamce superlites 16")They will be my birthday present I think..but if I want it finished it looks like the rotec 15" wheels will stay for the time being.(I'll just spruce them up abit)
They will be for sale in july........

It was a track car for the last 4 and abit years ,but have since decided to go back to stock.or as near as.

It can be hard to call a car finished really. Good luck on your project. Looks like a great place to start from.

Hi jimmy
Just wondering how much you paid to have your Scheel seats redone? And what material did you use?

Well a bit of an update and little behind schedule but I repainted(acrylic)the engine bay yesterday (FINALLY I couldnt stand the sight under there any more),and this morning I refitted the cross member and front suspension so she could see the light of day and have a little sun bake didn't turn out too bad for my first spray job!!!.... just got to cut it back in about a week and the engine will go in as soon as I get my thrust bearing back in the gearbox and will assemble on a stock 2ltr for now,I need 2 door rubbers and a new roof lining for rego, then I have 40mm dellortos group 1 head waiting to go on the 2ltr until I can gather all the parts I need for a zetec conversion mid to late 09 or when ever I get time!!!!!

The year after the car will be stripped for a full respray

Sorry for the late reply,It was about $700 front and rear from memory,I didn't use beta cloth as it was too expensive however this material looks similar and would be twice as thick and durable as the original beta cloth material,I got the guy to restitch all the original patterns back in ,i think they come up great I took the car outside in the sun today for the first time since I refitted them,Im very happy with them.

looking great. Good to see the retrimmer hasn pulled the material the wrong way and changed the original shape of the seats. Great work.
