Thanks. Yeah it has come along, the body still needs a lot more work before paint, the primer is mainly a buff coat and to keep the moisture out, because once we move Im guessing it will sit for a while.

Colour - I have 4L of 2k Bright white sitting there but Im still tossing up wheather to use it or to Go with the original Green. Im thinking because its a race car maybe white with some sort of graphic on it. Any suggestions?

So I got a bit of Paint splashed on over the weekend. Apparently when I said white I meant Ivory so the paint isnt quite the white I thought it was :-( but it still came up alright. I haven't painted the whole body, just the engine bay and around the doors and window, and a quick coat on the roof, to seal it up.

I also cleaned up the diff, bolted the box onto the engine, and put the front end together. I had hoped to be able to have the struts rebuilt and the new brakes fitted by this point, but kinda in a rush now so that will have to wait for another day.

Bolted the engine and front end in last night. Think I got the engine mounts round the wrong way tho. Extractors are touching the floor :-(

I have to buy new mounts anyway, so will swap them over when I do that.

I also need to adjust the gearbox mount a bit too. I moved the body mounts back and down and re drilled the cross member but it still needs a 15mm spacer in there, so I think I will weld some plate to the back of the x member and re-drill to suit.

You'll have to excuse the quality of the last few lots of pics, all done with the phone.

ok. So everyone is probably getting tired of my pics by now, these will probs be that last for a while anyway.

Diff in, wheels on. Back on the ground. I'll get the doors guards and boot bolted on over the week end and then thats it for a while.

Not bored of the pics mate. You have made a lot of progress and its great to see it all coming along. Great bodywork too. I need to buy a welder for my car. What sort do you use?

I was enjoying watching the progress on your car until my work's IT department put a ban on photo sharing sites - including Photobucket! [8~2]

Once my new computer is up and running at home I'll take another look...

I think its called a liquid arc ST140 which is basically the later model Blue version of the Red Lincon ST140. Its made by Lincon. Its been a great little machine. The only thing i dont like about it is the amperage has like 8 settings, I would prefer a resistor type infinate setting on the amperage as per the wirefeed.

My uncle and my brother both bought the same one and apart from my brothers one suffereing from a broken wire in the hand peice (I got a better one in my package) they have all been great. It comes with a harris reg and it does gas and gasless, and you can change the lining for aliminium if you want too. (its removable) very happy.
