If I had a set of genuine RS door cards without holes I'b be looking for another set and pack the others away some where! They're getting harder to get these days!

I have 6" pioneers in the front kick panels using pods. They do stick out a bit and people complain that they get in the way of their right foot when driving. But mine are fine and had no problems.

Thats where mine are and I have no probs with them. One person that has been in my RS asked where the front speakers were[88]. Plus Im not a fan of speakers in doors. Even though I don't have to worry about wrecking my ply wood door trim.

Don't cut up your door trim for speakers. They are in frakin' good condition, dont wreak them.

I know I am going to cop a lot of flak...

Do not attempt a turbo setup if funds are tight. Either sell it now and buy a faster car 'out of the box' or work the NA in small steps as funds allow until it is fast enough.

I will agree, dont cut the door cards if they are still intact. get some others to use.
Also with speaker options, I have mounted a 6x4 keenwood speaker in the original place in the center of the dash, I have wired it to the front left and right+ wires. this gives mostly high frequencies as a center channel. sounds great and ads that little bit extra to the 2 front speakers.[%]
Car looks great and as to which colour is faster, well, undercoat is because it saves on weight if it is not painted. [88][88][88]

I say get some driving experience before trying a turbo

Considering you've just got your licence....you've still got plenty of hairy moments ahead that you'll come across without the need for turbo and if you were in same situation with a turbo....you may not come out of it so nicely.

I'd just start gathering parts slowing for EFI turbo if I were you, every Wednesday when Mr. Woolies gives you a bit extra to play with

Enjoy it for now, don't be like the rest of us with cars off the road or a car off the road.
