Hi, im in need of some advice as I have previously owned a mk2 2ltr escort. Since then I have rebuilt and worked the 2l but my current shell is inoperable, and would like to know of what would be required in swapping a 1.6ltr kent engine with a 2ltr pinto? Is it as simple as changing the crossmember?

Pinto and 711M blocks are the same width, so mounts are the same. Change electrics and exhaust to drivers side. There's plenty of info on here if you use the search. I haven't done the swap, only seen this question asked so many times that the details have stuck in my head :-p
