ok its about time ive made a thread on my car well since i was about 10 ive always liked Escorts and being originaly born in england alot of my family memebers had eskys my dad had a mk1 1300 my uncle had a mk1 as well as a red mk2 mexico then when my mum and dad married they bought a red rs cosworth so yeah i was ridin in eskys when i 3 lol when i turned 14 me and dad decided to look for my first car so could have it as a project and lean things along the way anyways it was ovious i wanted a escort i always liked the mk2s so we started searching for one there was a young kid that had a failry ghetto orange mk2 that he absallotly thrashed around until the clutch went so i talked to him and he said i could have it for 200 bucks i told dad and we went too look at it when we got there up close it was full of bogg rust everywere rims were buckled from sliding into curbs lol and yeah it was fairly hacked dad said itd be too much work so we kept on looking until we came upon a 1978 mk2 genuine rally pack in happy valley me and dad thought it was perfect and we went down to look at it after a bit of dad negosiating with Rhys and i ended up owning my very own escort me and dad drove it home and i loved every bit of the car once it was home i started to study the car and learn everything about it i drove it up and down my driveway then started work on it now when we bought it it looked nice and there was only a few things that it needed doing but after i started stripping it back and taking stuff off i starting thinking and wanting to modify bits and make stuff better ect anyways here it is ive cut 90 % of the rust out lil bit left in the heater bubble to do ive zinc primed most of the car and its had a white base coat put on at the moment im just guide coating it and checking every panel once im happy with it il lay the primer down and a guy down the road is going to spray it for me i did work experiance at a panel shop so thats helped me alot with the body work anyways here it is .

The second pic looks very familiar. Looks to have changed a bit now. What colour will it be?

If your thinking white with a bit of pearl, try having a look at a few new mazda's in white, say a mazda 6. They are a metallic white and looks a bit different

if im correct, it seems like your car has/had spots where its at bare metal for a while now... where do you live? down here in the morno peninsula (vic), if i leave a spot bare metal its showin surface rust within 2,3 days. and thats inside my shed... maybe its cuz im near the beach.....
