hey Shea...yeah mate tbh don't know alot about the sr20det, back when i bought it got told its got 550cc or 500cc injectors, and custome fuel rail

i keep getting side tracked on other bits, but gonna look at a bracket soon so i'll keep you in mined when things start moving along. It doesn't look to hard though i've got it sitting there on wood atm but basically turned it upside down.

i got some seats today no idea what there out of but a guy down the road was chucking them so in they went, need recovering and rails moved but they feel supportive so all good!

hey Shea...just found this

Its a Gti-r motor wooohooo i hear you say but check out the alternator!! oh and the water neck...

would solve all the problems, so i am off to the local jap importers tomorrow, to see if they will sell me the bracket/alternator and a water neck...

As far as i know the sr blocks are all the same so the bracket should bolt up to the holes which held the ummm power steering pump i thing it was...will keep you informed

The FWD SR20 block is very different to the RWD block. The alternator bracket from FWD won't fit RWD and vise versa, and the belts won't line up either. You are better to keep alternator where it is. Plus, putting the alternator on the left will reduce room for turbo and in-pipe on a RWD if you want to stay with low mount. Oh, and FYI, SR20 blocks have 3 different configurations.

oh ****!, thanks jd's
i was just looking at my now with the pic of the fwd beside it they look very different as you said..

so i guess, the 3 configs..
1. rwd
2. fwd
3 gtir block

But oh well look like im back to making a bracket.
I've got a high mount manifold, i was just moving the alternator to give a bit more room for the exit pipe from the radiator i have bugger all room to get the pipe in?????

cheers for your input jds, saved me wasting $$$$

the thermostat 2 piece housing, the first part that bolts to the block is pretty much level with the alternator isnt it? and then the other pipe sticks out further? could you not just get a new 2nd pipe flange, and weld a pipe on in the rite direction?
