Hey mate I have a red 72 Auto V6 matching number Stillwell car about to hit the market.  Needs some work to finish but all there.  my number is 0409091252 cheers JR

JR, this isn't one of the 4 (of 11) Ford 'Specials' sold by BSS, is it? I believe all of those were manual cars, if I'm not mistaken.

As you know a bit about capris think of where they typically rust then ask for photos taken during the resto to see if those areas were properly addressed.  And have a look at the dash switches, the pics are not that easy to zoom in on but they don't seem to have the icons on the left.  Maybe its just the photo or maybe they are in upside down or a from a LHD.

It's a hard car to figure out.  He went to the trouble of putting in the foot pump window washer for the sake of originality, but then fits door trims that dont have the correct pattern.

Hi all just an update. Happy man I got my Chrissy present. The white one came up again and I'm in Coffs Harbour now driving her back to Sydney. The guy is a panel beater and has done the work himself asked the right questions and got answers but who knows for sure. I know where these things rust and could not find any hint of a bodgy on the body when I inspected it. The dash switches are not correct and nor is the door trims but as a beer drinking smoker I'm not a purist just looking for that beautiful Capri. So saved some money on my last attempt which should cover Rego and transfer. The paint is wonderful the finish is spectacular but all in all the rego papers say Capri. Will post more detailed pics when I get her home. Keith

Congratulations on the purchase Keith, it looks like persistence paid off in the end. You should get many years of enjoyment out of that.
I do enjoy seeing a totally standard and correct capri  but what Im really into is a capri with sensible period modifications.  Am looking forward to those pics,      cheers,...ron.

Hi all, now I am pissed off. Returned from holidays to find brake fluid has dripped on the white Capri bonnet from the Perana. I was having problems changing gear in the Perana and sent it to a mechanic to fix. He adjusted it and gave it the all clear and also said leaking slave cylinder could be the issue but came back with the all is good. Any way now it won't go into gear and I parked the white Capri underneath the yellow Perana which is on a hoist. Went and looked today to find the clutch fluid on the bonnet and it doesn't look pretty. So any suggestions on how to minimize the damage, I know the paint will be ruined but will it get into the metal and can I stop it before that happens. Keith

Water should neutralise the brake/clutch fluid. I'd use warm soapy water.

Hi all, now it's time to stir the pot. The misses and family love the white capri and we have been enjoying it. It's not completely original but it turns heads and for some reason I really like it in white with black stripes. Now the one thing ( aside from cup holders) that the family want would be air con. So not for this Capri but the v6 I'm building up which I will be updating as much as I can. Does anyone have suggestions of fitting air on to one of these. And can it be hidden? Bear in mind this white one stays how it is and the Perana will only age better as original but which would I drive on the hot Sunday afternoon if their was an option. Keith
