Very good, it has twenty more hp than mine, it should be good for a low 15sec 1/4 mile.
Goodluck with it.

Hi, thought everyone might like to be brought upto date.
it is always buyer beware isn't ?
before I bought this, I was assured its a good and going engine with "no" thrashed issues from dyno or other.
here is some pics,
missing a rocker stem and spring , just not there not even in the rocker cover ant where,
wet burnt oil on top of pistons,
only one set of valves in and out dry,
spark plugs never had a spark on them but that's nothing is it ?
the sumps off and not any better there, black burnt oil
and the gearbox . . . bell housing looks interesting
will keep images coming but it is not the fast street engine as ready to go as was advertised Mark,
now I have 2 pinto engines to build

I have been burnt before by buying a supposedly fully built race engine from a guy on a forum. NEVER EVER buy engines from others. ALWAYS build your own engine.

Sorry to hear and I think we have all had an occasion where what was paid for is far from what was advertised - myself included (but not from a purchase on here)!!
Best of luck with the 2 builds.......

We should be careful not to tar everybody on forums and the internob with the same brush!   There are good people out there.  I bought a fully prepped Pinto from interstate via a forum and have been nothing but happy.  Definite caveat emptor however

Hi Mk1_Oz,
I agree caveat emptor, it was the add:

"FOR SALE WORKED 2 LITRE PINTO AND 4 SPEED GEARBOX GOOD HP STREET ENGINE"

You can't have this if internal parts are missing and its clagged out.
I have karma on my side,
The seller is just a toxic germ and he was here to have all of us, only he new what we didn't.
His word is not worth . . . . . .
I will deal with it, he knows that.
We are just the keyboard warriors in his word.

To every one who has been following this saga, a few of you already know this,
The gudgeon pin at the conrod and piston has the movement of a ratchet spanner notching the swivel side to side.
The internet is a powerful tool Mark Blackwood.
I gave this shadey guy till today to put half the cost of engine back in my account.
Well, once again he has gone below ground. if his name gets associated with enough bad deals, just like the carbies.
then karma will hit every where on the web whether he sells Ford stuff of Harley parts as he advertised.
The Mark Blackwood's do make it hard for the honest one's like the hear running one now on sale.
I hope this soap box opera doesn't stop people from buying that engine especially hearing it running a bonus.
All I can suggest to everyone, " don't buy from Mark Blackwood "
