I think there would be a few issues. I think the rear windows are different. I have seen some attempts but they never look right to me.

Two door shells aren't that hard to find. Surely it wouldn't be worth the effort.

weld up the rear doors, add some filler....

No I don't think anyone has ever converted a 4 door Escort into a 2 door. Not that I know of anyway. You should do it! You'd be the first in the world! [}:)]

There has been plenty done in the UK but the simple way-welded doors shut and shaved handles but it just looks funny as the rear quarter window frames still gave it the 4 door look,not exactly the way you mentioned of doing it Chris.

Im sure it could be done. Depending how its done will depend how close it would look like a real 2door. I would think getting the rear quarters form a 2door and moving the pillar back to it. Get some 2door doors and fit em would be the 'best way'. Welding doors looks stupid!

i dont wanna do it ide just buy a 2 door lol.. but wanted to c if someone was desperate 4 one and did it..

weld the doors together and take the pillar out, two big doors, you will need a spare car park to get out

I know its not escort related but... I seen in the hearald sun a while back, a mob in Melbourne converted a BA Falcooon to a 2 door, and it looks awesome! they said it'll cost something like 40 grand though, but said they'd love to do an FG so if you have plenty of money to blow and you have an FG falcon give them a buzz haha
