wouldn't be complete without rusted out spare wheel well.

this was the first car i ever bought, it cost me $200 dollars, which is a lot of money when you're 14.
i bought it with the intention to build it into a tough track car. however with the attention span and dedication of a teenager it sat in my back yard wasting away.
over the years a few rust spots have presented themselves, some nastier than others but nothing that i cant fix. will be happening soon.

i was originally aiming for some 2.0 zetec power but the difficulty of the conversion has ruled that out.

I now have 2 different ideas for the power plant, which are.

Option 1. Pinto 2 Litre. Cam, Bored, High Comp, Flat Slide Carbs.

Option 2. Toyota 4AGE 16V, Toyota Sprinter 5 speed, Cams, High Comp, Flat Slide Carbs.

the route i take will all depend on what presents itself at the right price when I've got the money.

if its a dedicated track/climb car you dont need it anyway, just cut it out and replace it with an aluminium drop tank and a plastic fuel cell lower Center Of Gravity, lighter and you don't have to worry about blocking fuel filters with rust from inside the tank when you are running on fumes

just got these KEIHIN CV-K's for a good price. i am going to ghetto rig them up to my 1.6 X Flow until i can afford a 4age + T50 gearbox and some decent r1 carbs.

nah haven't done either engine swap yet, i only just edited my o.g post.
i was thinking of selling the escort to get a ke25 but the corolla sold so i've decided to fix this up.

looking for some cheap bike carbs and a 4age + T50 gearbox at the moment and as soon as i find some space in the shed i will start cutting out the rust.

anyone on here know how easy it is to extract 100rwkw from a pinto 2 litre, and roughly how much money id be looking at?

dunno about an exact kw number dude, but get the block built to high compression, so a little overbore, not to much unless its for road use.

if u get the head ported right, good intake method to suit (ie twin 45's/efi/quads etc)

cam, and most of all try to get it all matched to each other, u need the exhaust and intake to suit the cam, and the stroke etc.

do the basic pinto building mods, and you can achieve decent power without costing you a sh!tload.

decent worked ones, can reach 150 horses at the flywheel easy
