Hi to all the Capri nutters!

Just wondering where I can buy a Capri gear shift boot from that looks like the attached piccie.

Thanks.

It would be great to see these readily available. I could lend you a NOS one if that helps. Will it get damaged in the pre-production / mold making process?

Cheers

Also have a good used clutch boot (for the bellhousing) that would be great to have reproduced.

Hi Jamie,

The shift boot I have been given is good enough to copy from. Thank you for your offer but would much prefer to copy from a damaged boot which has no emotional or dollar value just in case we wreck it. This particular boot has a very thin wall section, and 40 + year old material, so it is highly likely it will not survive.

Yes definitely interested in the Essex V6 clutch/bell housing boot if you have one that you have no emotional connection with.

I will assume that neither boot is currently available.

Both are fairly scarce, but probably most needed (clutch boot especially) for roadworthy.

I have no attachment to either (apart from monetary), but see the far greater benefit to have these available for everyone to buy.

I'll have a dig through my boxes/shed and send you some photos of what I have. I'm happy to let them go for what they cost me.

Cheers
Jamie

Capri CLinic in WA were once doing the clutch boot, but he has vanished.  John McCallum was in the process of making the clutch boots as well, he may be able to assist.  I have never known any aftermarket shifter boots, these will be handy if you go ahead

G'day All,

I too would be interested in both the grear shift boot, but in particular the clutch boot.

Also the boots for the rear wheel cylinders - Capri Clinic had them but as already stated he appears to have vanished.

It would be good if these are able to be copied and then available to all.

Perhaps a group effort, or donation to get them up and running, assuming that no-one else has already headed down the path of reproductions.

Cheers,

DJC.

Someone with email address "radioactiveman1@....." recently sent me an email offering the boots to copy.
I have tried to reply however receiving automated failure message "mailbox full".
I am interested in the boots.
Please advise.

Thanks.
