Just get the standard radiator changed from 2 core to 3 core.

It will cost half the price of the pwr gold plated ones.

thanks maxrs....that is a good option..but i still want to get rid of the chunky standard radiator, i prefer the slim look of a later modern car...i want to cut the radiator housing off and make it flush where the radiator goes...surely someone out there has put a different make radiator in their esky....any other suggestions..? cheers guys.

i use a Corona '82-'85 radiator, same height but 4in wider. Keeps my mk2 2.2lt cool...never went over half even on 42deg day stuck waiting for a 2km long goods train in peak hr traffic
