So wondering whats the go with Autolite and Motorcraft,  my original service manual says 'always use Autolite parts' but everything ive seen including original stickers people put on parts of their capri say Motorcraft.
Just curious as to why this is and why i cant seem to find anything Autolite from back in the day.

Cheers

Service books and manuals were printed early 1970 and were used thruout the production to 1972. So motorcraft doesnt get a mention.
But ford changed to motorcraft some time in 1972 and is featured on the xa falcon. It would therefore be appropriate for the 1972 capri to use these 72 stickers.
You can also get a motorcraft battery sticker, oil filter and the paper one on the front edge of the air filter.
I also got the limited slip diff sticker and put it next to the jacking sticker in the boot.
I also got a copy of the first registration sticker and put it in the windsreen lower left corner. Really pleased with that.

So should pre 72 Capris have Autolite stickers to be correct? Or did they have motorcraft stickers aswell?

71 xy had Autolite, 72 xa had motocraft. Frankly i used that to justify the motocraft stickers on the 72 capri.
But if correct is important  use the autolite on pre 72.

Thanks,
Was just curious as I've seen both and was wondering which my 70 Capri should have once in up to that stage.

69-71 capris only had the Battery decal, Brake Fluid from XW, the V6 has the Air Cleaner decal from the XA, interesting as

1972 has the coolant decal from the XA.  I have not seen the coolant decal on any capri prior to '72.  So you need to make up a combination for your capri, expensive.

Heres a kit showing the Brake Fluid and Air Cleaner, throw the rest away https://www.rarespares.net.au/rarespares/buy/bd2037/decal-kit-xw-gt-351-windsor

Now the XA kit to get the Air Cleaner and Motorcraft coolant
 https://www.rarespares.net.au/rarespares/buy/bd2070l/decal-kit-xa-zf-351-v8-with-large-air-cleaner

And finally the Autolite Coolant https://www.rarespares.net.au/rarespares/buy/bd2001/decal-kit-xy-gt

The brake fluid and Battery ones are available separately but the other 2 only come in kits.  If anyone is buying a kit, I can get the individual Air Cleaner and coolant ones copied to make a Capri specific kit

Yes I did see them from graffix, just wasn't sure what a '70 would've had.
Thanks for that gtv6
