Does any body have a wiring diagram for an XL model Capri. Also does anybody know the correct wiring for the foot operated windscreen motor pump where when you push the diaphragm the wipers wipe once each press.
It’s needed for the Perana and the Haynes shows nothing regarding it. Also resistance wire goes to a different spot and I don’t know where. Thanks.

well, in my GT3000 of 1970, there is no electrical connection to the rubber foot pump. You use a finger on the switch.
I do know some of the Escorts (not sure mk1 or mk2) had the switched foot pump - look the same except for the metal pump pedal and leccy bits.

Overseas had the foot pump fitted with the metal housing that when you push the washer pump the wipers would come on for one swipe each push.
I’ve read it’s hard to hook up many moons ago and now can’t find that info. My Perana came with it and no idea how to hook it up even though I removed it and labelled it with electrical tape and instant marker. Note to self instant marker wipes of electrical tape.
Never seen an Xl or deluxe wiring diagram as I’ve only ever had V6s or the Perana recently.
Years ago I had 4cyl but never needed to pull them apart. Cheers.

my 1600 had one wiggy, but I removed it over 20 years ago when I replaced the carpets, and didn't want to cut a hole in the tru fit 'moulded'' carpet. Its in a box somewhere.
I'm not sure what they moulded it on at the time, it certainly wasn't a Capri floorpan.

I have a Haynes manual that has an XL wiring supplement that shows the foot operated wiper switch, not very legible but I could probably make out the wiring colours etc. maybe with the help of a magnifying glass!! I could try scanning it and sending it to you, what do you need to know?

this is the onlr reference I could find it comes from a Facelift.  Odd as my 3000E has an electric footpump but it does not get a mention in the factory MK1 manual

My 1971 XL windscreen washer is only pressure operated via the foot pump, and in my original Ford repair manual there is no wiring, so not sure what you are looking for
