Considering I drive it sensible when I'm on the road (minus industrial areas, obviously), they're quite clearly targetting P platers. I can drive it around all day on my Ls and not get a second glance from the cops, yet the second my mate puts his Ps in it and goes for a drive, they're all over it.
Haha, you quite clearly know nothing. You do realise it had no engine in it when I bought it, right? You do realise I've changed the brakes, diff, interior, etc. since buying it, right? You do realise I've had to get new panels welded in and respray them to get a roadworthy, right? It was hardly a finished car when I bought it, I'd really like to see you try driving around in a car with no engine.
And I'm rebuilding one from the ground up as we speak, so I know what goes into it. Again, might want to do some research before you make comments like that.
Since when did I send it off to shops every time I've broken it? I've sent it off maybe 3-4 times to get things fixed. It's kinda hard to shorten a driveshaft in my back yard. And I'd also like to know why you figure I thrash it 'constantly'? It gets thrashed maybe 1/10th of the time it's being driven, at the most. I'd like to see you find one Escort on this forum that hasn't been thrashed before. And thanks for the offer, I will keep spending my money on it. I don't know about you, but I'd much rather drive my car how I want to drive it, and occasionally fix things on it, rather than leave it locked up at home only to come out for a cruise every second Sunday.
Going by your logic, no one's going to buy a track car because it's been flogged. Nice one. Here's a good idea; stop worrying about what other people are doing with their cars, and focus on getting your own finished.
