Brilliant work you are doing. Like a few people have said a great idea and have thought about doing it my self. Thanks for the warning on the patience issue.

Keep up the great work, can't wait to see the finished product.

STILL messing about with the back door, jus tryna shape it so it matches the frame of the car but i have been busy with other stuff aswell, il let the pics do the talking...

i didn't like the look of the sway bar mount on the original diff, so i changed it[%]

tacked together my pedal box

and sat a falcon wheel in the guard. not goin the low jus wanted to see what it looked like.

just woderin if anyone knows if the later model courier diff centres are the same as the earlier models?? or if anyone has an early centre they want to sell.

Cheers

ok it has been a very long time since i last posted but i have been workin on the pv, bit slower then id like as i started an apprenticeship and money is now tight...

il start with the back door...

ok it doent look that different from the last pics but it's now on gas struts and the top corners of the door have been changed from pointy to round and the seal section has been finished on the body.

the diff is in and i wasn't happy with the drums that are on the courier diff.

i decided (after some trial and error) on magna rear disks and nissan maxima calipers and made some caliper brackets up and had the axels machined down to fit the disk and drilled out to 5 stud too.
i got a mate to cut the shape out for me and drilled the holes at work. i told my mate to cut them to what ever he thought would be strongest.. they are a bit over kill but i kno there not gonna break..
cant complain they only cost me my time
axels were $80 to be machined and drilled.
calipers were from u pull it and im yet to put a kit through them.

i dummy fit a block in and begun the gearbox crossmember. i had to widen the tunnel to get it in there but no big dramas there.
made a dummy tailshaft to get me round for a while til i can afford to get a proper one made.

umm been doin more work on the engine bay (which im sick of doin).
new track control arms, tie rod ends, bushes, boots, made spaces for the sway bar to adjust the castor as it was really far forward, might need further adjustment but that will have to wait til the car is driving again.

picked a pair of falcon chasers to see how they fit, not so good. they have a wide offset and rubs on the outside of the guard.

now im lookin for dihatsu terios chasers.. so if anyone knows of any let me kno (harder to find then you think)

Cheers

Hi Jake,

Those Falcon chasers look like pre AU offset. If they are, you should try some AU/BA chasers as they will sit in 1" further.

Phil.

do the au ones look the same or do they have smaller holes? they are off an EL falcon.

Hi Jake,

They look similar, I think the holes are marginally larger and there are a few less but they still look like chasers.

Phil.
