Guys,
Im after some panels that I cant get aftermarket and to have made is quite expensive.
Does anyone know of a wrecking/breakers yard that has a/some escorts in the Adelaide area. I know years ago there was one in the hills but Ill be buggered if I can find it. Or does anyone know if there are any escort specialists around .

Gday Justin, I believe that Pt Wakefield Wreckers has mk2s, also a place called active motor wreckers on main north road near gawler. It is next to gawler motorcycle centre and you go into it off Tiver road. At Avtive motor wreckers the cars are stacked 2 high so might be a bit hard to access and dont know how good the panels are.

No worries. With Active wreckers, they are a bit funny with prices. I got a couple of things really cheap but some other things they ask too much for in my opinion so make sure you ask first before you go searching.

I think hilliers at Lonsdale had 2 out the front a while ago, maybe worth a call

I bought half an inner gaurd from them.....at a HUGE price!!

I was in the same boat with my van, I just bent and rolled the new flat Steel to shape. It wasn't perfect but did the job.
I went to Active wreckers last week and dittn see any Escorts except for a van out front.... It's like going back in time in that wreckers. Upullit has a app now so can check that before going and yes there is a mk2 in Elizabeth Upullit at now.

Went to Active today and found one every rusted white Mk2 stacked on top of a cortina, they thought they had two, but staff couldnt find the other.
Went to Elisabeth Upull- it and couldn't find an escort, asked at the booth to be told look online so I'm guessing not there.
CMW have 2 escorts but 'cant find them' will get back to me with a condition report.
I'm heading to hilliers tomorrow, they have what I want to suit a MK2 I think.
Does anyone know if there is significant difference between a Mk1 and Mk2 bulkhead panels, other than where the different pedal box bolts up, Might be able to adapt.
Marty, I will roll up a panel or have it english wheeled but If I can get the right shape reasonably easily i think its worth doing. they are worth some money these days and mine being a race car that area is exposed and visible so Id like to get it as right as I can afford and persevere with..

I cant believe the staff couldnt find the other escort. About two weeks ago there was a green two door with a car on top, i think a couple rows further back than the white one. Doubt it would have gone as it would mean moving about 10 other cars to get to it.
 
It is an absolute maze in there, so no wonder you guys had trouble finding them!
 
Marty, that escort was listed when I went there but it wasnt on the lot. Talked to the girl behind the desk and aparently they are keeping it out back and going to try to sell it as a whole car. Who knows why it is listed as on the lot, i wasnt too impressed to drive all the way out there to find out it wasnt there to wreck.

Yeah when the guy at Active said head up towards the big tree on the right and is about 30mtr past it!. I only went there for a tf Cortina fuel filler flap And got out as was 39° .
The bulkhead between mk1 and mk2 is just about identical. ..my mk1 van is a 75 with mk2 floorpan.
There had to be another car which has similar shape footwell ... Maybe a wheel tub from Cortina , Falcon, or a jappa car .
Hope you find an easy solution.
